| Psycroptic: Return home from tour |
|
2007-02-08: Psycroptic have just returned from an event filled, but successful European tour with Deicide and Visceral Bleeding. As most people know, Glen Benton was not able to make the tour due to personal reasons, but the tour went on none the less with the help of Seth from Severe Torture for the first 4 shows, then Daray from Dissenter filling in on vocals for the remaining dates. Jason (Psycroptic) also stepped up and helped out with a song each night which was a very proud moment for all of us.
Unfortunately after the Essen show Joe had to be taken to hospital after he collapsed. This resulted in Psycroptic having to cancel the 4 remaining shows of the tour in Holland, Germany and Belgium. Joe was very keen to play these shows, but he had to rest upon doctors (and the rest of Psycroptic’s) orders.
A special thanks goes out to Mick Summerton, who handled bass for us in Cam’s absence. Mick can usually be seen at the mixing desk, as he is Psycroptic’s live sound engineer.
Now back at home, Psycroptic have begun work on new material, as well as working on a US tour for sometime in 2007.
As for Australian shows, Psycroptic have 4 shows currently lined up, which will be the last shows for quite some time as work on new material is the main priority. Check out the gig section for details on these shows.

| Sickening Horror: Signs with Neurotic Records |

2006-11-09: Greek based Sickening Horror, featuring extraordinary Nile skins man George Kollias, signs multiple album agreement with Neurotic Records. The new album, entitled "When Landscapes Bled Backwards" has already been recorded and mixing and mastering duties have been handled by none less than Neil Kernon (Nevermore, Cannibal Corpse, a.o.).
Ruud Lemmen of Neurotic Records commented: “This fairly new death metal band was brought to our attention when having a brief meeting with George Kollias on a European Nile tour in early 2006. Ever since we’ve heard the recorded material it seemed destined that Sickening Horror and Neurotic Records would join forces. We are therefore very delighted to be able to work with this band.”
The band added “We proudly announce that Sickening Horror became a part of the Neurotic Records family. Our debut album will soon be out on the shelves under the title “When Landscapes Bled Backwards”. We are extremely happy about this cooperation since Neurotic Records is a label with top-notch bands and a very promising prospect for Sickening Horror’s future. We would like to thank Ruud Lemmen at Neurotic Records for helping us spread the sickness and we can’t wait to see you all on the road!”
Some songs to appear on the album are: “The Perfect Disease”, “Imprisoned In Apocalypse” and “Forsake My Bleeding”.
