Artist Roster Kronos Biography KRONOS was formed in 1994 in Thaon-les-Vosges (North-east of France) by Mike & Grams. Back then the band performed some form of heavy thrash-metal. Two years later, Kristof joined the band as vocalist. KRONOS then started to lean more towards death metal, and the first demo, entitled "Entrance" was recorded. In 1999, Tom joined the band and KRONOS developed themselves even more as a brutal death metal band. Lyrically the band is influenced by ancient mythology (especially Greek). The long awaited first album “Titan's Awakening” was released in 2001, and was self-produced by the band. The band received great critics and this resulted in getting signed with the French based label Warpath Records who re-released this first album with a new cover design by Deather (Angel Corpse, Vital Remains, a.o.). After this second (lead)guitar player Richard joined the band in 2003. For the upcoming two albums the band signed a contract with the relatively new record company from Dave Rotten of Avulsed called Xtreem Music. In 2004 the second album was released, and is entitled “Colossal Titan Strife”. This album again received a lot of very good reviews all over the world. Because of all this the band gained hordes of fans allover the extreme music scene and more and more concerts are performed in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Poland. All this sharing tages with bands such as Deeds Of Flesh, Monstrosity, Fleshless, Vile, Disfear, Pungent Stench, Devilyn and numerous more. In July 2006 the band entered the famous Hertz Studio (Vader, Decapitated, Hate, a.o.) to record their next album, entitled "The Hellenic Terror". Once again this album turned out to be a mythological concept album, baed around the creatures coming from ancient greek mythology. This album marked the last album for the Spanish label Xtreem Music and has been released in 2007. In mid 2007 the band started looking for a new record company, and after brief negotiation the band signed a recording agreement with Neurotic Records. The band expects to record a new album in 2009.
